Margo Chase Essay

                As a designer, Margo Chase is one of the innovators in the field who has helped make Graphic Design what it is today. With her unique blend of styles both old and new, along with her strong background in calligraphy, she truly has a brand all her own. Her creative process from initial conception through branding, implementation and launch of a new marketing campaign is a model to be emulated. She accomplishes this by teaching young designers that just because they live in a digital age that does not mean that they should distance themselves from the beautiful and intricate styles of the past. Her story also serves to prove that as designers one can never know where a career shift may come from. It is an easy thing to get stuck in your own head and believe that a job may not be in line with what you think your career will be, and it is important to understand that just as we grow and change over time, so do our goals and aspirations. Designers need to learn to be as fluid and as malleable as our clientele can be. We need to learn to pull from all facets of life, and all mediums to truly become great designers. After all,  inspiration can come from anywhere.
